Juventus are allegedly growing more hopeful of signing Adrien Rabiot to a new contract despite his future uncertainty. Last summer, the 28-year-old was linked with a transfer away from the Italian giants, but he signed a one-year contract until June 2024.
He is rumored to join Arsenal or Manchester United in the Premier League next year. Arsenal are longtime admirers of Rabiot, and Man United reportedly tried to buy him last summer but pulled out owing to his pay demands.
According to 90min, Juventus are convinced they can sign the France international to a long-term contract soon. The report says Man United head coach Erik ten Hag, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool are interested in Rabiot.
Rabiot is satisfied at Juventus this season and wants to sign a long-term contract. Massimiliano Allegri praised the midfielder for his one goal and two assists in 11 Serie A games in 2023-24.
“An extraordinary player, he has a different engine from the others, he learned to score goals, he believes more in himself,” Allegri said.
“I think he can improve performance, not goals, this year. His running already pleases me.”
Rabiot told Telefoot last month: “I’m happy at Juventus and we’re enjoying a wonderful season. In the season before the European Championship, staying with a squad I knew seemed best. The club trusts me.
“We’ll see later on about a (contract) renewal, but in any case I am very happy with my situation at the club and in the France squad.”
Rabiot joined Juventus on a free transfer in 2019 when his PSG contract expired.
In 188 games with the Old Lady, the midfielder has scored 18 goals and provided 14 assists, winning one Serie A title, the Coppa Italia, and the Italian Super Cup.
