Postecoglou claimed he is preparing for life without Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer ahead of his first game in charge at Brentford on Sunday.
“My understanding is it has progressed to the point where it looks like it will happen,” Postecoglou said at his pre-match press conference.

Tuchel’s team plays RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup on Saturday before the Bundesliga season begins next weekend.
“We are working hard on it… that is no secret,” remarked the former Chelsea manager.
There is no decision yet. Since it’s not his player, the coach won’t discuss it until there’s an agreement.”
Kane has 280 goals for Spurs and 58 international goals.
He has not won a major club or international trophy.
Bayern has won 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles, ensuring success.
After failing to replace Robert Lewandowski last season, the German giants needed a striker. Lewandowski joined Barcelona after 2021-22.
Lewandowski scored 344 goals in 375 games in Munich’s eight Bundesliga titles.

Kane has won three golden boots and scored over 20 league goals in all but three of the past nine Premier League seasons.
