Paris Saint-Germain announced that Kylian Mbappe has returned to the first team.
Mbappe was left out of new coach Luis Enrique’s lineup for Saturday’s disappointing goalless draw at Lorient, a rough start for champions PSG.
Mbappe watched from the Parc des Princes stands after a contract issue delayed him for weeks.
However, the club’s star player is back.
“After very constructive and positive discussions between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG-Lorient match, the player was reinstated in first-team training this morning,” PSG said Sunday.
Mbappe rejected Al-Hilal’s 300-million-euro ($328m) offer last month.
The France captain has declined to extend his PSG contract, meaning he may go for free next year. Real Madrid is his favorite destination.
Qatari-owned PSG wants to sell him now for a big amount for a player who cost 180 million euros ($198m) from Monaco in 2017.
“The position is clear. Kylian must re-sign to stay. The world’s top player can’t depart for free. Last month, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi declared it impossible.
Mbappe just played one of PSG’s five warm-up games and wasn’t invited to the pre-season tour in Japan and South Korea.
