Benjamin Cremaschi, an Inter Miami midfielder, explained how Messi, Busquets, and Alba are helping the young Herons.
Cremaschi may be underappreciated after Messi’s performances at his new team.
The 18-year-old has demonstrated he can play a midfield three or upfront with Messi. The teenager scored within minutes after starting the game against FC Dallas on the bench to help Miami draw the game as time expired.
Cremaschi’s shootout penalty kick pushed the Herons to the League Cup quarterfinals against Charlotte FC.
“The team is looking very good, very united, with a lot of positive energy,” Cremaschi added.
“We’re starting to feel what it’s like to win and what it looks like to be able to fight to win a first trophy for this club,” he said.
Miami is favored to go past Charlotte, but Cremaschi knows his team must play well to reach the semi-finals.
They press well. We must discover locations to confuse and shatter them… Expect their best.”
Josef Martinez echoed Cremaschi’s teammates, saying they want to keep their Leagues Cup dream alive to make fans proud.
“Hopefully we can achieve things,” Martinez stated. “At the end of the day, it’s what the fans and we want.”
Messi is expected to shine in the Herons’ Leagues Cup quarter-final match at DRV PNK Stadium on August 11.
