Liverpool star Mohamed Salah ‘agrees £191m Saudi Arabia move’ With a Catch

Reports say Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has agreed to a historic move to Saudi Arabia, making him the world’s highest-paid player.

BeIN Sports reports that Al-Ittihad has signed the Egyptian to join the Middle East’s star-studded migration. Sports Zone says it’s for three years and worth £191m per season, or almost £3.7m a week, tax-free, more than Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

However, it is complicated. Salah signed a new deal with Liverpool last summer that expires in 2025, and The Athletic says any bid for their captain will be rejected.

Liverpool have no pressure to sell, and Salah’s agent, Remy Abbas, denied suggestions of an Anfield exit earlier this summer. Tweeted: “We wouldn’t have renewed last summer if we pondered leaving LFC this year. Mohamed is loyal to LFC.”

Salah, who has 187 goals in 308 games for Liverpool, did not want to leave this summer but is willing to leave.
